Theory 15 - Sensors and Controls Concepts
In this section students will learn about using sensors and their responses to assist with robot control. The different types of sensors including buttons, limit switches, Limelights, ultrasonic and more will be discussed, and their uses gone over. An understanding of how these sensors will integrate with the codebase to control the robot is something that must be learned to choose sensors wisely.
Practical 15 - Sensors Integration
Students will learn how to integrate sensors into the robot, as well as how to integrate their responses into the robot code. This work requires a broad understanding of the sensor’s function, the ability to fabricate and assemble the sensor to the robot accurately, and the ability to at minimum work with the programming group to get the sensor integrated into the codebase in a safe, functional manner.
