Fabrication 25 - Mill IV
The fourth level of milling machine proficiency includes the ability to tilt the head of the milling machine in both dimensions to make tilted cuts. In Mill IV fabricators will learn how to tram the mill in all three dimensions, and how to adjust the tilt of the mill head accurately. There is also focus on using the hand wheel’s markings to make very accurate parts.
Fabrication 26 - Lathe III
The third level of lathe proficiency focuses on special uses of the lathe. These include cutting grooves for snap rings, making beveled edges, and cutting tapers. It also looks at surface finish and includes focusing on making very accurate parts.
